Participants should wear comfortable clothing, we will be on the floor pretty much the whole time, they should bring a yoga mat, pillows, and a blanket if they like. Some people get cold when they stay in a prone position for a long time. Others need support of a pillow to lay on their back. We will do some gentle yin stretching to get into a deep savasana so we can settle in and let the sound bath wash over us.
Artist Bio
I have been a yoga instructor at Anjali Power Yoga for six years and have gotten into sound bowls because I was looking for something to help me focus during meditation practices. I found the sound bowls to not only be soothing, but they helped me focus mentally and physically on one thing. I found the vibrations felt really good in my body and now I use them almost daily if I am stressed or just need to relax. Yin yoga is a very gentle stretch that gets the body ready for deep rest. Yin paired with sound bowls is the perfect recipe to get a person out of their head and into their body, to help them relax before bed and get the deepest sleep.
