Using all those yogurt cups, plastic bottles and egg cartons, etc., we will be creating sculptures inspired by Louise Nevelson: https://www.pacegallery.com/artists/louise-nevelson/ . Students will need to bring cardboard boxes and plastic items from their recycling bins & acrylic paint. The items will be cut, painted (white) and glued into the medium sized boxed creating bas-relief sculptures allowing the play of light and shadow. The instructor will bring backup materials.
