ONLINE Weaving on the Loom - Tuesdays

In this course, students will learn the essentials of tapestry weaving. We will use a frame loom to create hand woven tapestry wall hangings. We will cover material selection, tools, warping a loom, various stitches and knots, shapes, negative space, removing a weaving from the loom and various finishing techniques. Intermediate weavers may enjoy the refresher, or work independently with technical support.

Students can purchase their own loom kit here

  • 3-5 skeins of yarn, various weights (worsted weight or thicker)
  • Scissors
  • Dowel or smooth stick 12 inches long
  • Wide tooth comb or fork
