ONLINE The Magic of Mesh: Creating Mosaics to Go
This class will teach the technique of creating a mosaic using mesh as a substrate. This technique allows for easily creating mosaics when in-place installation would be challenging such as on a vertical or curved surface.  This technique also allows for a large mosaic to be worked on in small sections by one or multiple people.
 
Supply List
  • Rigid cardboard slightly larger than desired design
  • Full-sized desired design drawn or printed onto paper 
  • Plastic sheeting to cover design
  • Masking tape
  • Mosaic Mesh slightly larger than design
  • Durable materials (glass, ceramic, stone etc.) for creating design
  • Clear PVA such as Welbond or Elmers GlueAll  or Aileens Jewelit
  • Thinset
 
Suggested tools and supplies - Q-tips, baby wipes, craft sticks, pallet knives, toothpicks, disposable plastic container, tweezers, tools for shaping materials (depends upon type)

She is a resident artist at the Centre for Arts, Bristol Pennsylvania and her work has been displayed in numerous galleries and museums and is included in numerous personal collections throughout the United States. Veronica Kairos is a member of the Mosaic Society of Philadelphia (MSOP) and the Society of America Mosaic Artists (SAMA).
