ONLINE Group Critique with Henry Bermudez: July 24
ONLINE Group Critique with Henry Bermudez: July 24

Our lives have been dramatically disrupted by the pandemic, however, artists have continued to create despite the isolation. We recognize the need to have other professionals look at and contribute different perspectives regarding our work.  Crit-Z provides studio critique group sessions. If you're struggling and can't quite figure out how to break out or if you're ready to step it up and work toward your full creative potential, then please join us with artist Henry Bermudez in a constructive discussion on your art, your process, medium and studio challenges. Crit-Z will enhance the development of your work and is designed for all levels.

About the artist:
Henry Bermudez attended the National Schools of Art in both Venezuela and Mexico and studied in New York City’s Art Student’s League, as well as in Rome. His work has been placed in public and private collections throughout Central and North America including the museums of Contemporary Art in Caracas, Maracaibo, Merida and Maracay in Venezuela, Museum of Modern Art, Mexico, Museum Rally Punta del Este, Uruguay, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.

Mr. Bermudez was selected to be the Venezuelan representative for the 1986 Venice Biennale and he has been the subject of numerous articles. His work has been included in many exhibition catalogs such as the X International Print and Drawing Exhibition of China as well as in books on the subject of Venezuelan art. In 2011, he was one of a handful of artists chosen to work with the Philagrafika print collaborative founded by artistic director and curator, Jose Roca. In 2012, he was a recipient of a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant. Since 2003, Bermudez has worked with the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia on several major projects.  Henry is co-director of House Gallery 1816 in Fishtown and maintains an active studio and exhibition schedule.

Masks

Order No. 242 signed on Friday, May 28 is aware that “different masking rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals” would mean that Perkins Center for the Arts “would bear the burden of distinguishing between vaccinated and unvaccinated patrons.” The Perkins staff is not in a position to bear this burden and will depend on the cooperation of each individual.

Perkins Center respects the rights of each individual member, student, staff member, faculty member, and patron. Unvaccinated individuals and children ages 11 and under will still be required to wear face masks when inside the buildings for events, classes, and summer camp at this time.  Perkins Center for the Arts requires faculty and staff working directly with children to be masked as well.

Perkins Center for the Arts will not require masks in any outdoor setting at the Moorestown or Collingswood buildings. However, recognizing that there continues to be some risk of COVID spread, it is highly encouraged that unvaccinated individuals continue to wear masks indoors or where distancing is not an option.  We thank you all for your partnership as we all navigate the landscape together. We thank you for helping to continue to make Perkins a safe and welcoming environment for all.
