Morning Pottery for all Levels - Collingswood

This class offers an in-depth approach to thrown and hand-built pottery. Beginning students will experience a variety of techniques, while more advanced students can hone their skills and explore ways to expand their creative options. All levels welcome! 

About the Artist:

Chris Bonner is an Associate Teaching Professor of Ceramic Arts at Penn State University Abington Campus. He has been a guest lecturer at Penn State Lehigh, Rutgers University and the Maryland Institute College of Art. A native of South Jersey, Chris earned a master's degree in ceramics at Northern Arizona University. After 13 years as a mold maker at the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown, he spent 6 years on the team of international contemporary artist Jeff Koons at his first digital stone studio. He has collaborated on numerous anagama firings with artists such as Don Reitz, Rudy Autio, and Peter Voulkos.


Please note that clay must be purchased at Perkins Center for this class. Clay is $25 per 25lb bag and may be purchased during class. If you own a toolkit you are encouraged to bring it to class, otherwise, pottery toolkits are available for purchase at both Perkins locations. Toolkits are $14 (Basic) and $20 (Deluxe) payments by credit card only.
