This fun and informative course is designed to help artists move to a larger format, using minimal amounts of materials, time, and money. We will be going through different methods and strategies for working at a large scale. There will also be refreshers on the basics of figure drawing - reviewing topics such as proportion, understanding form in space, different ways of modeling (shading), and a brief overview of human anatomy. The class is appropriate for all skill levels and there will be lots of one-on-one discussions as well as an introductory group lecture with informative demos, along with descusions about different wide ranging examples of good drawings. As drawing is the basis for all the visual art forms, Life Size Life Drawing is great practice for draftsmen, painters, and sculptors of all skill levels.

Supply List

• Small drawing book/notebook for class 
• painters or artist tape 
• larger construction clamps 4
• A dowel (1/4 inch - ⅜ inch) to tape your drawing implement to.  
• Something to draw with. Materials that I recommend are {but you do not need to buy all. you will only need what you will be drawing with}: conte crayons, charcol pencils 2B 4B HB, vine charcoal, graphite sticks, pastels, litho crayon...feel free to bring in other materials and I will try to work with you.
• A kneaded eraser and rubber eraser are also helpful. 
• We will have to discuss maybe a roll of paper

Artist Bio

David Krevolin is a designer/sculptor who loves teaching, drawing, problem solving and making things. His goal in life is a leave the world with more beautiful things than when than when he came in it. He runs his own design and build metal work and fabrication business and have 2 young boys that keep him busy when he’s not teaching.
