This Introductory course to oil painting will allow you to learn the direct methodology and fundamentals of painting in oil. You will discover essential techniques and the application of paint.

You will learn about a variety of surfaces to work on such as: Mylar, Yuppo paper, oil paper, and panel. Brands of oil paint and painters that use oil. Simultaneously, learning and gaining confidence in individual artistic decisions such as color, temperature, line, mark making, form, shape, placement, composition, and brush calligraphy and the application of the material.

Rounds and Flats for Oil Painting

Palette Knives a variety of sizes

Palette paper or if you have your own palette

Masking tape various widths

A pad of Arches Oil Paper either size is fine.

Graphite(Pencil).

Brush cleaner

When we start to use panel I will mention the size when we approach our project that suggests using that surface to work with.
