USING TEMPLATES AND IMPRESSING PATTERNS TO HAND BUILD CERAMIC FORMS

 Working with clay templates is a great means to an end. Sensuous shapes and graceful forms appear effortlessly.  Boxes magically sprout fitting lids with cool handles, pitchers almost pour themselves and cups find comfort in the hands of their creator.  Masterfully built trays emerge from ordinary clay slabs full of surface patterning enhanced by just the right finish and it’s all brought about by beginning with a simple template!

Please note that clay must be purchased at Perkins Center for this class. Clay is $25 per 25lb bag. If you own a toolkit you are encouraged to bring it to class, otherwise, pottery toolkits are available for purchase at both Perkins locations. Toolkits are $14, payments by credit card only.
