Week One: Coaster Set

Students will learn how to cut glass and create designs using simple geometric shapes and a 2-layer stacking technique. Students will also prepare component parts to be pre-fused to use in our next project.

Week Two: Small Glass Panel

Using pre-fused glass shapes, stringers and frit, students will create a small glass panel of their own design. We will also prepare color bars to be used in our next project.

Week Three: Working with Color Bars

Students will learn how to use a rotary saw to cut glass and assemble a colorful panel of their own design.

Week Four: Putting it all Together 

Using the techniques learned in the 1st three sessions, students will have the opportunity to create a larger panel or a series of small panels of their own design.

We will discuss presentation options for finished work along with resources and suppliers.
