We will be exploring the use of hot wax technique (encaustics) to create art.

    • Students can create a collage on their canvas boards then paint the hot wax 

      over it.  We will learn layering and adding collage, leaves, etc. to the waxed surfaces..

    • I will provide the hot plate, the wax, oil sticks, a heat gun, some canvas boards and do a 

      demonstration of how to use it.

    • Students can look up YOUTUBE- Encaustic & Leaf stencil Demo. 

    • SUPPLY LIST:  bristol paper, small canvas boards, stencils & collage papers.

       You can create your own stencils by cutting shapes out of bristol or thin acetate to save the cost of buying them.
