Drawing Modes & Methods

In this class, drawing techniques, both traditional and modern, expose students to a variety of methods that create a variety of results. We'll work with traditional materials from vine charcoal to 6B/6H pencils as well as modern materials like carbon copy paper and gel medium transfers. This class will challenge the thinking of the advanced artist while being accessible to the beginner. Supplies: Vine Charcoal

Supply List:

6B, HB, 6H pencil

Kneaded eraser

regular white eraser (strathmore best option)

strathmore drawing pad at least 9x12""

tinted strathmore paper (two 24x30"" sheets: I will cut down for use)

Charcoal: black and white

Carbon copy paper

prisma colored pencils

black acrylic paint

paint brush, long handle,  hard bristle flat or filbert

gesso
